Madrid, November 2013 20th – The Spanish Merchant Marine has brought forward the draft of the forthcoming Ministerial Order that will regulate boating licenses for recreational boats. The text has been made available to the marine industry stakeholders and a period for amendments will be open. Once these amendments are presented, the legislative process will continue until its entry into force.
Boating license examination and administrative procedures are simplified, some of the boating licenses’ limits (in length and power) have been modified, the provision of recreational boating licenses has been improved and private boating schools will be able to make examinations, are some of the changes introduced by the new Ministerial Order.
